Vacation... FINALLY!

Honestly, this year the school year went so quickly for me. Which makes me afraid of summer going quickly as well. I was the busiest I have ever been on the job. It's hard to budget time for everything, but making sure I left on time to be home to pick up kids from two different locations every day was the most challenging. Summer is a time to unwind from the regular school schedule, and fall into a new, more relaxed (but still structured) schedule. But first, a vacation! Bear's favorite - vacuuming! Counting Down the Days

A couple of years ago, I started a blog for my "year as a stay at home mom" where I challenged myself to write a blog entry every day (which I did for a while) during my year of absence from work to stay home with my 3 kids (finding childcare for twins under the age of 2 was problematic). Once I returned to work and business as usual, the blog was left behind. Checking out books after signing up for summer reading. After a bit of thought, I've decided to resurrect the blog - mostly just for summer time since that is when I get to put on my "stay at home mom" hat. Don't expect anything fancy! I am hoping to use this space to reflect on parenting, share some adventures, suggest some kid friendly activities, and include thoughts about the upcoming academic year (as a parent and a teacher). If you want to read along, give a follow and stay tuned, because my summer is about to start at the end of the week!
